Hollyburn is one of three mountains that make up Cypress Mountain. The trail is quite enjoyable with easy terrain and it finishes with a great view. In particular, the view of the lions is really nice.
We first did this trail in late March and it was snowing (raining in the lower part of the trail). After you pass the warming hut, the trail seemed almost magical. There were small pine trees all around and red bushes almost everywhere. With the fresh snow creating a small white frosting on the pine trees, it really felt like Christmas. Red, green and snow all around.
This trail can be snowshoed in the winter months and hiked the rest of the year. The trail starts in the Cypress nordic ski area. Make sure you park in that parking lot.
